I discovered a new beach today while I was out geocaching. It's just a tiny stretch between some rocky heads but there was TONS of great stones & beach glass! We just had a wind storm overnight as well so that probably helped wash some nice material up.. Here's a sampler of what I was finding: (photographed wet) I still have to photograph some of the other types of stones I found but I thought these were really sweet!

lcars-
Great finds. Finding pre-ground material can save you a lot of time and money too! I found some petrified wood in a some desert drainages that have already taken off all the extras and would be ready for the 2nd or 3rd stages.
Have fun with those.

LCARS, that's almost cheating! I have rocks that aren't that smooth after 3 months in coarse!

LCARS, looks like you scored big time! The colors in those rocks are gorgeous...really like the oranges. I didn't find anything like that at the beach today. I guess it's going to take a few more storms to start washing some new rocks afloat. Steve

Stefan, I got some preemo beach grade stuff here! Don't be fooled by the wet look though, these rocks still needed alot of work to finish & they're not done yet! Almost all of them have dual hardnesses and that's making them more challenging to shine! One more week to go before i'll have finished pics to post. They went in 120/200 for 3 weeks (1 recharge), 500 AO for two weeks, 1000 AO for a week & a half, CO for a week tonight & TO for as many more days as it takes (maybe 4-5). If I have time I will take a few pics of the examples while I'm changing 'em out...

Wow, how's I miss this one. Those are really cool, love that orange one just right of center, looks like it's on fire. You need to cut that puppy in half and see the inside.

Neph says "Just think what you can find in the deeper water !!!!!! "
I'm thinking the bends, sharks, foot caught in the kelp. When I was a kid, though, Mike Nelson was the best.
