Picked up this material out of a $1 lb pile at rock shop while back. Finally took a cpl slices off and this is the first cab to come from it. Really love this material. There's some bright silvery mineral scattered throughout thats hard to photo(manganese maybe?) Anywho, just really like the material and wanted to share. Thanks for looking!

That is a stunner! (And not blurry to me either.) What a score on the $1 per pound! Makes you want to find another $20 worth! LOL I just cabbed an unknown moss agate that has (what I thought was) Hematite running through it...so very similar with regards to material contents. I'm learning that any "unknown" moss agate probably came from Texas...at least there's a higher percentage that that is the origin...apparently! LOL

And you are right, been itching to get back to that pile for more hounding! Mine looked like a river cobble very much similar to Rio Grande agates Sabre52 and jamesp have posted about. The owner of rock shop is lifetime Texas resident so would make sense to find it in $1lb pile

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a Texas moss
