And finally, the one that arrived unbroken -- 1/2" thick and weighing 300 grams. What would you do with a 1/2" thick slab? Specimen. Do you have a flat lap? Yes, but it's an 8", which means only good for rocks up to about 3.25" on their longest side. I have on order a huge Raytech vibratory tumbler that will probably be able to vibe tumbler it whole!

It is really beautiful.

The guy who sold me the slabs is far too kind and generous. He has now offered to send me these 6 slabs as free replacements (this time packaged in a box), while allowing me to keep the broken ones as well. I insisted that (1) he send me the slabs ASAP and (2) I pay him $50 for them, what I paid for the first group. Looks like I've got some more Biggs big 'uns coming my way. For all the crooks on Ebay, there are a lot of good people, too.
