Here's a group shot of what came out of the vibe today, freeformed and shaped with the Dremel. I'll try to get some individual pics tomorrow to show all of the flaws... Thanks for looking.

Fantastic batch my friend! You really do have a good variety of material...I'm trying to see how many more are going on my "to get" list now! LOL - I've already got some of them! The finish you got on those really does look spectacular.

Killer shine, Mike! Is that Needles Blue next to the Sodalite?

Thanks Robin! That is the Needles Blue cab, I'll get a better picture tomorrow. Some undercutting but not horrible.

First group of individual pics. I'm mostly pleased with how they turned out, however, I still think there's room for improvement.
Pictures taken outside, cloudy day.
Thanks for looking.

Good results on those Mike! Man, you really had some amazing materials in this batch of cabs! There isn't one that I think is just "so-so"!

That needles blue held up nicely. I really like it, but I like the sodalite and the first one in the second post with pics, too.

I've kind of started leaning towards cabbing stuff that I like, rather than just cabbing stuff that I have just laying around for the sake of cabbing. Like I said, each one out of this batch seemed to have it's own flaw(s), whether it was a fracture, pitting, chipping, etc.- but it was still fun doing them.
Edit- I had higher hopes for the Fairburn. It looks ok, but a little bit "blah" for a Fairburn. Those spots are inclusions.

I'm going to get one more picture of the needles, it really doesn't show the blue very well. The top of it is a long way from smooth, but I'll take it. The sodalite was fun to cab, and you probably already know this but the first one in the second post is more Tabu Tabu. I really like cabbing it, too.

I figured it was Tabu Tabu. Fun stuff.

That is the way to keep it fun and interesting, Mike. I don't cab anything that I don't like well enough to make into a piece of jewelry. Life's too short to mess with unworthy rocks.

OK Cab-ers...any material I have you want to cab, I'll send it to you, just to see what you can do!!! So pretty! I don't even want it back...just send me a pic of what you did.
Excellent work. Thanks for sharing. I have some Sodalite I'm tumbling now. Otherwise just Lake Erie Finds. And Barely breaking into my Arkansas Crater of Diamonds bucket.
