Just thought I'd share some cabs I finished up recently. I'll start with some cabs made from gravel collected from San Jacinto river. The wonky shapes of these two were just an attempt to use as much of piece as possible.. I like how can see the tiny orange botdroyal formation at the bottom of cab. Pet wood. Not too happy w shape. Ok onto the good stuff. Texas moss agate(maybe) Reyes agate from Mexico- Blue tiger eye- bummed that fracture popped up toward end of polishing. Moroccan green jasper- same material as piece in cab contest prize for this month. Unknown thunder egg. Looked much like cold mtn. T eggs when cut but exterior didn't look same. Really like the A! The next two are Dino bone. Love this stuff!! And finally another Texas moss agate (I think)- Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed them!

They are all lovely. But the bone is really nice and so is the wood and unknown t-egg. I like your shapes.

Can see why so many like Dino bone. I have said before that dino bone starts out an ugly rock and then surprises you. It is always such a pleasure when they turn out to be nice.

Those are bad ass. That thunder egg I see a yellow hand reaching for a rock and the dino bone is so cool. Nicely done

Holy cow, those are great. Love the Dino bone and the moss agates. Of your free forms, I love two of the three (#1 and the pet wood). #2 is unusual, but I’ve done the same, for the same reason. Sometimes I’ll go back and alter it later. Some I’m still on the fence about, years later, and some will sell because someone else will love the shape (always nice if I don’t have to make the decision to remove pattern I love from a shape I don’t).

oldschoolrocker - Oh my gosh...they're all spectacular...the shape and the polish are stunning! Of course, as others have stated, the Dino Bone is amazing...but I'm really partial to that unknown T-egg!

Beautiful stones! My favorite is the last bone, but that pet wood is also awesome. Kind of reminds me of Howardite.

Really like the wood. The quality of the stone and the shape.

Thank you for sharing. That pet wood is wild and very 3-dimensional. Moss agates are always among my favorites, and yours are no exception. The west Texas mossy materials are especially nice to work with, in my experience, since the moss tends to be very solid.
I like the shape of the second one. Trying to get the most out of small rocks is a good way to find new shapes.

The thunder egg, Texas moss, and Mexican Reyes are stunning cabs and well represent high quality.

Excellent! The wonky shapes just make the stones more interesting and unique.

Thank you! #2 is an unusual shape for sure. I've got quite a few that I'm on fence about their design and have intentions to rework some at some point in future.

Of course, as others have stated, the Dino Bone is amazing...but I'm really partial to that unknown T-egg! Thanks Jason! I wish I knew where the t egg is from as it reminds me of cold mtn eggs but center of egg had more traditional look to than cold mtn I've cut.
