There are 4 other stones (all agates) that are listed for $35K. I assume someone is hoping for the best or they are not hiring quality help.

The price of the cab is actually $35...but the additional $34,965 goes to the "hired help" for (ahem) proper identification:
"All our gemstones are tested by graduate gemologist (GIA) to accurately identify the gemstone."
Now I ain't no gemologist...but it looks like Noreena to me...

Noreena patterns are usually more interesting, too. Either way, though… I wish there was a way to report for price gouging. |

If I didn't know better, I'd think that the seller really doesn't want to sell it. I've seen listings like this on eBay, where the pricing is so completely out of line with the value, that I've always wondered just what the heck was going on.
Perhaps they think there's some value in the (sorta) face on it? Maybe if it looked like Jesus or the Virgin Mary...?

This seller is totally bogus. I was about to pull the trigger on an amazing $35,000 polished Montana agate that looks just like the painting "The Scream."  But guess what's in the fine print?  Actual price is $150,000! $35,000 is just a deposit. I'm gong to write him to see if I can pay the deposit and wait to pay the rest until I can take out a second mortgage. |
