LOL, I was wondering who Hammer was, then I remembered my avartar. ;D Gaetz, Like Robert said, I used a vibe. I pre-shape all rocks with an upside-down circular saw with a diamond tile blade, then they go in the course (120/220) for 2-4 days (I always go 4), then 2 days in fine (500 grit) and straight to the polish for 2-3 days (I used 3) then 4 hours in Borax. 7 days total to do ten pounds of rock. All the time that these are tumbling, I'm pre-shaping the next batch. I already have 8 pounds cut for the next batch, 2 more to go!

Hammer-
That's a sweet process you've got going there. I really wish I had a saw that I could work my stones with before throwing them in. I have a vibe too, but have put it aside until the stone get out of coarse. I'm really excited to see how the rotary shapes them up and rounds them off too.
thanks,
Gaetz

I think it is so interesting how the bands are different widths like the rings in a tree. Tami
