The silver looks "flat" (not polished) which works really well with the stone. The woven bail is a nice touch as well! Thanks, Jonathan! The pendant is tarnished. It's been sitting in the jewelry box forever. It was nice and shiny a long time ago.

Maybe it has something to do with all the Detroit industries that are about 30 miles away from me. My tarnished silver first turns a bronze color, and eventually gets almost black. In any event, I like matte silver. Yours looks matte, and I like it.

This is funny - just found the "bookmatch" slice of St Johns that this pendant was made from. No photo, just a story about finding old "inventory".
Robin might have even liked the pattern better in the one I just found, but the edge was broken out in the wrong direction for the dome.
I might have to cut it one of these days. Jeez, it's only been slabbed for ten years now... .
