Is that gold or copper wire? great looking stuff, especially the puppy robert Robert, Thanks! It's Copper craft wire, but it's really good stuff, not just coated, almost seems like it's real copper but it's not. Real easy to work with doesnt get tool marks. I bought it on Ebay, gotta get more. I'll post the name when I find it... Marian

I guess you've been busy, congrats on the sales!! Thanks Cher, I made them just for fun and my husband brought them to work, the girls loved them I have no idea why. The wraps came out kinda sucky but they are addicting to make, I hope to get better with practice. Marian

Nice wraps simple looking but very efective Jack YorkshireUK Thanks Jack! Each one is made from one length of wire even the loop. Kinda reminds me of when I was in High School Art class and we had to draw a portrait using one line without picking up the pencil. Marian

way to go marian! when are the puppies coming? you better get pics. kim Hey Kim, I was just looking at your African rocks the other day, those are my winter projects. Gosh the African Lace is so pretty and the blue swirlstone is my favorite. I wish I had tumble some of the Breccia it's very xmassy lol! As for the puppies they are due January 4th I'll post pics of them when (if) they come. Bulldogs tend to have trouble conceiving, if she is pregnant it will be her last litter. The pups will be delivered cesarian and she'll be spayed at the same time. Her last litter she had trouble delivering a HUGE 2 1/2 lb puppy, she's only 65 lbs herself. That pup is 125lbs now lol! Don't want her to go through that again. Here are some pics This was MY pick of the litter I love this Bulldog he's my baby, he's a Champion now and 80lbs... This was the litter's last nursing, they went on solid food the next day, what a pretty momma... www.angelfire.com/nj/chefmarsfunnyfarm/absnjpuppies.html

Marian,
All the pics are just wonderful! Thanks for sharing your "family" with us (& the bike, too!
And the wire wraps are simply wonderful! The wire doesn't distract from the stones beauty. I can see why they sold so quickly.
You say you did these with a single strand of wire??? Did you just make it up as you went along? I've tried my hand at wire-wrapping, but I just can't seem to get the bail part to look right. Any suggestions?

Pebbles Awww thanks Pebbles, it was my pleasure to share my life with all of you, I figgure I been away for awhile doing mom stuff and dog stuff, if I don't post some pictures you'll all forget me . Yes my wraps are made with one strand of wire, and I just wing it lol. My husband and my daughter both mentioned that I have very steady hands, I never noticed lol. I fold the length of wire even with the ends and start at the bottom of the stone and the bottom of the wire where the fold is, does that make sense? I use the curves of the stone to determine the design. Someone on the board posted that you should get a "feel" for the stone to determine the design, I forget who it was but it was the best advice. thank you! Anyway When I get to the top of the stone I twist the two ends and wrap them with what's left of the ends to create the loop. Only problem is the wire is alittle soft, so I use a touch of glue at the top keep the wrap from ...well unwrapping. I didnt want to cover the stones with too much wire, I worked so hard on them lol. It definately takes practice, I spent all day on one today and it's hideous! Hope this helps alittle... Marian
