I had a booth at a local Gem & Mineral show this past weekend. The Cab Cutting & Silver Processing Display literally saved the weekend. There were so many cab and jewelry vendors with mass produced merchandise from Asia that this was the best tool for distinguishing yourself from them.
My next step will be to create a electronic slide show dispay of the process. I will probably set up an IPad at eye level to draw attention.
Anybody have any other solutions?

I have an idea, but I don't know if it would work.
If your banner is a large white "sheet" you can project your images on it and get a lot of attention because people would see it over the crowds.

I got a long survey from Etsy about mass produced merchandise. I thought Etsy was about hand crafted merchandise and if mass produced is a problem, it is theirs to fix, don't ask me about it. There are tiers of merchandise; mass produced, manufactured overseas, budget and more expensive. I only am interested in competing against sellers in the same tier. When a buyer can't tell the difference, they aren't going to be a customer. |
