I have copied a lot of this from the last Roaming Wire. If it ain't broke don't fix it.  Make sure you read through this so you know what to expect.
As the initiator of Roaming Wire IX, I'm starting the new game. I will send a finished wrap and 3-5 unwrapped cabs to the first person, they in turn keep the finished wrap and wrap one of the ENCLOSED cabs. Take out the cabs you want, but add back as many cabs as you keep. This goes on until it gets back to the last person on the list, me! *Cabs tend to build up during the game as people seem to add more than they receive, please observe the rule that you send at least as many cabs as you received no matter how many you take out, please at least replace them!!! Let's not overwhelm a SFRB with too many cabs, though.* To keep this moving there is a time limit, once you get your package you have 14 days, to wrap it AND have it in the mail to the next person! PM the tracking number to me when it has shipped.
Before the person sends on their completed package, the next person in line will be contacted by me via PM first, to make sure that they’re ready and that they have time to complete the next package. If they don’t, they’ll move position in line and go to the next person up. Once you’ve received your package please photograph the wrap sent to you and post pictures on the thread so everyone can ooo and ahhh at them. Give credit to those who wrapped it and say thank you! Please take the effort to get a good picture. We want to see glamor shots of our hard work. This is a game for only wire wrapping, please stick to that. Please try your hardest to make the wraps nice and neat so that everyone feels they got a nice quality piece. Please make sure the stones you send are cabochons. No tumbles. Please send a note with the package saying what all the stones are so people know what they’re getting. Recap:
• PM me with your name and address, so I will have it to give to the person before you. (I swear I will not spam you, or give your addresses to anyone ever except the person sending you the finished wrap and cab.) • Receive your new pendant and unwrapped cabs. Photograph and post them.
• Wrap one of the cabs and find/make/buy beautiful replacement cabs to send within your 14 day period.
• Message me that you’re ready to send your package and I’ll give you the name and address of your recipient.
• Mail package. SFRB. You can get a discount on shipping at Pirateship.com.
• Then it starts all over again! Your position in line is fluid. We should be able to move people around to accommodate you should something in your schedule change.
Remember this isn't a contest. It is strictly for fun. No one will be judged. Try to push your skills and make a nice wrap for the next person. Think of it as making a gift for your family/friends.

I'll be sending these 7 cabs with the box. There is a caveat, though. I put one in that should be good for Tommy 's style of wrap. I marked it for Tommy. So, if y'all could hold off on that one and save it for Tommy, that would be cool. Or, he can chime in here and let someone else take it if he doesn't want to wrap it. It's supposed to be a mohawkite, but it looks more like Josephine's crown. I purchased it.

So, last night I wrapped the Crazy Lace from Tela's original posting...so that cab is now used. I didn't take any other cabs out to keep...but I'm adding the following. So, check out Tela's post and this pic to see what all is moving on. 2 Teepee Canyon Agates Cripple Creek Picture Jasper SD Prairie Agate Red Kaddis Jasper (aka Indonesian Palm Root aka "Maggot Agate") This probably won't go out in the mail until tomorrow...or whenever the next person is ready for it.  |
