I love this cab, but every idea I have for the wrap just doesn't work. Can a cab be too busy? roan leopard marble

I like the pattern. It needs to be truncated at the top.

Nope! No way can a cab be "too" busy for my taste! I love it when there's all kinds of things happening in one stone.
For me...I would probably look at orienting the stone 180 degrees. Not saying YOU have to...I'm just saying "I" would! LOL

You've probably already considered this. Perhaps visually tying the 6 parallel diagonal lines together as 3 pairs/bands might serve to add some order that might make the cab look less busy.

Damn, that is said so insightfully, confidently, and succinctly I'd guess that you are maybe a mathmatics scholar, art instructor, engineer, or just plain good with words. BTW that what I would attempt too.

Thank you for the compliment.

That was my first thought (more or less), but in person, those lines aren't as obvious. I assume that doing it like that would help make them more obvious, though. I ended up working with the shape instead. I'm kinda happy with it. I'll post it later. Thanks for the suggestion. I love to see how your mind works.

I like all the faces I see. Every time I take another look, I see another face looking at me. Interesting.

Cool cab, Tela. What is the material? Good luck on deciding how to wrap it. If it were me, I'd be setting it in a plain bezel.

Yes, cabs can be too busy. Especially if there's no overall sense of balance. Crazy Lace drives me crazy.
If I had cut the one shown here, most of the white would've disappeared and it would've been just yet another boring teardrop shape.

I guess they can be, but I rather like the particular cab pictured. I prefer a patterned cab over a plain, one color cab any day. My absolute favs are type cabs, busy or not, which typify a particular material with a known name and origin.

It has to really slap me in the face. LOL! Cool cab, Tela. What is the material? Good luck on deciding how to wrap it. If it were me, I'd be setting it in a plain bezel. This is Roan Leopard Marble, which I really like. A plain bezel would be ideal or a very simple border wrap. Yes, cabs can be too busy. Especially if there's no overall sense of balance. I think they can be so busy so as not to readily be wrapped. I love this material and the whole of it is patterned like this. This piece was what was left after the fractures. My absolute favs are type cabs, busy or not, which typify a particular material with a known name and origin. I like it, too. I like very boldly colored cabs, though- like sugilite. I have champagne taste and a beer budget!

Here's a quickie pic of what I decided to do.
Story behind this: I bought some copper beads. They were advertised as pure copper. I bought a lot of them. I did the patina on this and 2 did NOT take a patina! I was incensed! They got the worst review I have ever given and they are going back.

I like what you chose to do with this one! I agree with Beth. The beads were a great way to balance out the top like that...

Another beautiful wrap! As I've said before, I'm really fond of the way your wraps accent the stone without covering the face of the stone with all kinds of frills and gee gaws.
