I followed the normal advice regarding tumbling Calcite. For polish, I put it in a UV18 dry with corncob and AO for six days. It came out with a nice luster, but not what I would call a good shine. So, I put the Calcite in 2 Lot-Os, wet, with the AO polish for two days. When I emptied the Lot-Os, both had a mass of thick ceramic and rock in the bottom of both barrels. The sheen was worse. Now the rocks are back in the UV18 with corncob, and I will leave them for at least two weeks, adding polish and/or corncob as I think is needed. I had far less trouble with fluorite and got a good shine with far less trouble. I do need to remember to keep soft rocks out of the vibes, wet.

Hey! When you ran the dry tumble, did you recharge the barrel? Or let it go 3 weeks as is?
