Just bought my husband and I a 6lb rotary tumbler for our anniversary. We're both rockhounds and love hunting but definitely lacking in expertise. Getting quite the collection though (fire agates, crystals, and a whole bunch of other rocks more fit for tumbling). I want to learn how to process these in a myriad of ways. Dremel, tumbling, drilling, turning into jewelry, being able to cut, etc. Don't even have grit yet for tumbling, so starting there (which is how I found this site - looking for where to buy medium and it does seem that some is more "effective" than others). Hello and appreciate any and all advice!

I stopped at the bold part and thought, "I've heard of mail-order brides...but never grooms!" LOL

Welcome from Charles Town WV. Greetings and felicitations from Charles Town WV. (Think John Brown's pre-Civil War raid.)
I have learned a lot from the folks here, but also via trial and error. Don't be shy about asking for advice/help.
