www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/691008318750268/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post This is a Raytech 6 inch unused trim saw manufactured in 2008. I have been looking for a saw for quite a while, and this seems to fit the bill. $75 is right in my price range and I have the motor, so all I would need is the baseboard (what do you all use for yours?) And a V-belt, which I read I could get from Grainger, and a saw blade, which I could easily get. Do you guys thing this is worth it? I saw a rock rascal 6 inch saw frame without motor and belt goes for $200 so I think I'd be getting a steal on this, but really don't know. Thank you all in advance for the advice.

We have an old Raytech 6" that still works just fine. This model is way older than this one (it's blue-green color). One of the real nice things about this saw is the ample table room. ETA: Countertops work a treat for this. If you have a counter store near you, you could see if they have any scraps big enough for free. Otherwise you can always find pieces at Habitat for Humanity for dirt cheap.

One question though, by countertop scraps, do you mean linoleum? Thank you again.

Kitchen or bathroom countertops. Usually some type of laminate over the wood so you can drill holes in it to bolt the saw down.

The real advantage of the Raytech over just about all the rest is having the saw table lift up easily with a plastic bowl underneath that is easy to dump, clean, and dry. So much easier at the end of the day.

So much easier at the end of the day. Thanks for the information Peruano! That would make cleaning out the saw a lot easier. I plan on using water in the saw and I don't have running water in the shop, so that's awesome.

Yeah please do. As others have said cleanup is really a great advantage. I use mine with water and it's nice to just be able to make a few quick cuts when needed. Hope you were able to end up getting it!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll get it. I was just out in the garage taking apart my old motor that came with my grinder in hopes that I could use it for this. It's probably a 50's model motor so it needs some extensive cleaning and needs wired. I need to get before/after pics. Right now I'll work on cleaning, because that is definitely in my capabilities! Lol.

Finished the reassembly of the motor. It looks like it's fit for the job. Bearings sounded good last time I ran it (September of last year) and the internal wiring looked okay, as far as my untrained eye can tell. I'll get the cord on, after I figure out how to do it properly (never messed with these sorts of things before) and it should fire right up. I sure do hope I get this saw.

Thank you for the link. I figure I'll try to use the old motor, because it still works. If/when it finally dies, I'll get a nice one to put on, so suggestions help.
