So much better than the first ones I made a living on those years ago. A few tool marks, twists need to be tighter, bail a little larger. Other than that, good technique, good balance, secure wrap. That one is good, I bet we see better, and better. Imagine, a stone cutter who can wrap.

They look good John. Keep doing them and you'll just keep gettin' better and better. Remember when you first started doing cabs? We all watched you progress a little at a time and I'm sure history will repeat itself, only this time it will be wire wrapping. How are you doing? It's good to have you back on the boards again.

Thanks for posting nice close-ups so I can see where I'm goin' wrong. That stone in the 2nd pic is soooo pretty. What is it?

John - I think you're doing great! The second (3rd?) one (Imperial Jasper?) is really nice. I'd wear it! S

Sands is a fascinating person. He watches. I have found him watching me, not just looking in my direction, watching every detail of what I do. He has holed up since he decided to open his shop. Then he sends me a picture by e-mail. I am going to bet, in short time, Sands wraps will easily match his stone work! He is no quitter, and he never uses an excuse. To be frank, I find it quite exciting. I think, when he dials in his own signature on his work, he is going to make wraps that people will cherish for a lifetime. This weekend, the people come. I bet Sands will find it an adventure. His work, even in its infantcy speaks for itself.

I can see where it's a little bit gibbled on the bottom right of the lower pic but if you're new at wire wrapping then I'd say you are a natural & coming along nicely!!
I tried it once a long time ago. I sucked, it looked like crap, I got frustrated, I gave up on it... Now fast forward about 12 years to now & i'm almost ready to give it another go with a more serious learning attitude.
I think it's due to the fact that i'm now amassing some nice naturally shaped beach cabs that i'd like to see wrapped into a pendant or earrings or something...

Hell Sands, I ain't laughin' cause they're funny looking, I'm jealous! I love free form cabbing and I would really like to have some of my cabs wrapped. My mom wraps, but shes too busy with her own stuff.
Keep it up, those are darn good!
