@blockhead you can also buy them at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and other craft stores. Wally's World probably has them in their craft section, too.

So I took some cabs that I didn't think I'd wrap and glued bails on for pendants or whatever. I have so many cabs laying around so I figured I might as well do something with them. It feels a little like taking the easy way out, but I figured I could sell them for a lot cheaper than wraps. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks for looking! I think they look awesome! I like pendants with a few rock beads on each side. I have a bunch laying around that I plan on doing like that some day.🤣What kind of rock is the second pendant on the bottom row?

I want to say stromatolite, but I could be mistaken, it's been a while since I cabbed it. Maybe someone else could chime in?

Still getting ready for Friday and just glued this one. I can't remember what the stone is but I like it. It's kind of hard for me to get rid of stones that I like, but I really need to! 😏

Batch 1 at the far right. Mostly mustard and old catsup: uneven edges. Ants crawling on mustard edge —- I think it is my favorite. No symmetry. There is probably a good little story that goes with the ants….

miketI have done tons of Research online, but can’t find any good tips for E-6000. I got a syringe to apply it more cleanly…but I still have bails that I can pull off after 48 hours. Am I not using enough?? Can you show me the back of a glue on bail?? Is there a little glue showing after you’re done??

But I think they'll be fine for what they are. I have read about roughing up the two surfaces to be attached with sandpaper, but I haven't done that. Please let me know if you find something that works for you and good luck!

Just a quick update, the festival was ok. I was a little under the goal that I had set, but I did sell a night light, a few wrapped pendants and a handful of the one's with glued on bails. It was 105 degrees so there weren't a lot of people, but most stopped and seemed to like what I had. There's another craft fair kind of thing coming up in October geared towards Christmas so I'll most likely do that one...

Weather can play a big part in sales. The juried show I recently did had no customers at it. There were several hours of tornado warnings at the time. The show started about 30 minutes before the weather cleared, but no one came after that. There were no tornados or high winds in our area.
Hope your next show goes better.

I love them all, and can definitely appreciate the simplicity. Your wraps are gorgeous (and I'm more of a wrap person, but that's me) but there is something to be said for the main focus being on the stone as well.

Like I said, I'm definitely going to try again...maybe $20 for the ones with the glue-on bails is too high, I really don't know.

I think $20/hour for labor is the minimum so @ $20 for a fully finished product, the buyers are getting a crazy good deal.
