I certainly see the squirrel now !
Maybe it's both - just depending on your mood.
Patty.... obviously letting her imagination get away from her, this time

I figured it out Bill,
We have some evil annoying squirrels around here -
so that's what I think I saw, the evil in the squirrel coming out.
Patty..... being over imaginative again.

liveoak We don't have that kind of squirrel here, just ground squirrels. We don't have them all the time, just have had them a couple times. They like to dig, and our dry clay ground is like concrete! Not their preferred choice for a place to live, although they will get under sheds and such. Our nemesis critter over the years has been skunks. We have live trapped and hauled off more than a dozen over the years, four of them in just the past month! They are not so bothersome, certainly not evil, but they do dig in my ground cover (Dymondia), among other things and eat any fruit (avocados) that have fallen. My DH has planted sunflower seeds several times, and each time they were dug up. The skunks are mostly mellow when you move them, I have not been directly sprayed. The one today did let off a small amount of odor as I was prepping him for his ride to the other side of the lake. Not bad, just a small pop, a nuisance. But the funny part about today's release, I had partially removed the pin holding the drop door closed. While driving over there in the truck, the door dropped and the skunk got loose in the back of the truck! We stopped in our normal drop location, and the skunk was walking around in the truck bed. He jumped up onto the top edge of the bed and was walking around like he was walking a balance beam, looking down at the ground, but reluctant to drop down to the ground. When I saw my opportunity, I got around to the back of the truck and dropped the tailgate for him. Took him a couple minutes to understand he could now leave, he finally dropped out and to the ground. It was actually kind of funny!

Boy am I glad for you that you don't have a van.
I remember trapping chipmunks & a muskrat and we only had a van.
Our little Pekingese, Sophie was beside her self with the muskrat in the live trap.
We have gray squirrels, millions of them.
We live in the North Florida woods, (oaks)
They have tried to chew into our house that we had to put hardware cloth to stop them.
The one thing we figured out that on the whole squirrels do not like safflower seeds, so we can now feed the birds again with safflower seeds.
After seeing a hawk take one, Tom , my husband briefly talked about taking up falconry
