Go for it Ashley! What's the downside if for some reason you don't make it work? I recently got a flexible shaft for my Dremel. It was a whopping $12.99 from Amazon. I think it's a little easier to handle and control. I'm using it for drilling stones. I can set them in a bowl of water in a little plastic vice and keep them cool while my electric tool is up out of the way. I feel a lot safer. The only downside was the instructions figuring out exactly how to connect the thing, but it wasn't that bad.

Bigfoot is often called Sasquatch, Yeti doesn't seem to care!

ashley, you can totally make cabs with a Dremel and vibe, it's the only way I've ever made them. Well, that's not exactly true- before I got my vibe I used to polish my cabs in a rotary tumbler.
jasoninsd is correct, however, you can definitely lose some of your shaping with softer stones.
I've lost a few cabs that way, but most of them will turn out well with this process.

Thank you Brent! There are a few clubs but they are out by Chicago and other places that are on average an hour away. So with 5 kids who are homeschooled and with me 24/7 that’s out of the question for now. I do have a friend who owns a rock shop who has some stuff I could experiment on if she wasn’t so busy. I’m excited to give it a go with the dremel and the vibe. It will help me to see if I even like doing cabs.
