Probably not as good of a gift for many but a letter opener is like a little knife, I know you can get plain stainless steel ones and you could just glue the scales on and forgo the rivets.

Bigfoot is often called Sasquatch, Yeti doesn't seem to care!

Here's another.
I have been making little bottles filled with translucent rock chips.
Some have oil in them.

This one is multi-use.
It could be a sun catcher or Christmas ornament.
The cap is not glued on, so the chips could be removed and used for something else.
