Oh no. Is there too much gas built up in the barrel and the lid got pushed out? But at least your rocks look good!

Oh no!!! I feel your pain. Truly. We had our Nat Geo do this on us the first run (hubby didn't put the lid on evenly), and then my Thumler leakage. No where near as bad as this though. Hope the carpet is ok.

Ouch.
I put my rotaries in a cat litter box type tray in the event this happened. You might want to consider something similar.

Might be time to retire some old cookie sheets. I bet you have some that could stand to be replaced*...then just use the old ones under the tumblers...
*Only because I guess you make cookies...and cookie sheets get ugly quick! LOL

pebbleskyI don't think it was gas, though there is no way to be sure. Perhaps I didn't do the lid tight enough. But it wasn't a small leak the lid was half way off. So perhaps gas. Who knows!

jasoninsdBut I make a mean slurry! Can’t you tell from the carpet lol! Here’s our go to cookie recipe. Stick closer to 9 minutes for falling apart gooey cookies and closer to 11 for firmer ones.

Thanks Ashley!! From the looks of the original post, you had that tumbler running for 9 minutes...'cause it looks kinda gooey! LOL I'm not as good in the kitchen. Here's my recipe:

jasoninsd Lol, yes it was more toward the 9 minutes! Those cookies look good! Honestly, they're horrible. I keep hoping my wife is going to finish them off! LOL - Homemade chocolate chip cookies would win the taste contest hands down!

ashleyI was going to tell you I use a plastic liner that goes in the bottom of a dog crate but aDave beat me to it. I'm sorry to see this Ashley. Im glad the carpet cleaner worked to clean that up. My heart sank the time mine did it and it was on that tray.

Running a rotary on your carpet , no one can say you don't have a sense of adventure. It is much quieter but I would suggest putting it in a tub also ! Maybe add a piece of carpet sanple under it in the tub so it doesent walk around plus cutting the noise !
