The brown one appears to be Polish Flint. Gem silica is basically copper infused chalcedony so can be found in small quantities many copper mining districts. The specimen you have does resemble Needles Blue Agate which is a rare type of gem silica from California.

Picked up these two at the flea market today. Anyone know where these are from? Ummm...I think your question is answered by your first sentence. The Flea Market! Duh! I couldn't help myself. LOL Not that Mel needs me of all people to back him up...but that one really does look like Polish Flint. I'll be curious to see what you're going to do with 'em...

Jason for some reason I can’t explain I’m slowly accumulating rocks to cab, I just have to build up my skills before I go crazy on some of the stuff I’ve got a little more money invested in lol. The flintish piece really has some awesome stuff going on in it. I have no idea why I didn’t recognize this, I have a huge nodule of it in grey. I guess you can’t have too many rocks right?

No. The phrase "too many" is not in my vocabulary when referring to my rock supply! So I totally understand where you're coming from. LOL
