This sterling silver necklace is the first jewelry made out of my tumbled cabs. Of course my wife is the model. Close up Thanks for looking. Zotika

That is a well cut stone. Good job on the stone work. The only weak point is the bail. It just doesn't compliment the stone work. Bails have always been my sore point. It always seems like the bail is always wrong. Either too large, or too small. If you have no acess to wider bails, take three jump rings and put them together. They should match the width of the setting. To high polish the cab after tumbling, use ZAM on a felt wheel in a DREMEL or on a flex shaft at high speed. It just gives it that extra POW! You also have a good model for your work. She is very young, and her eyes are bright. Does she cut stones also? My wife wants to learn. After watching Sands do his magic, she thinks she can do it. If only we had time away from the shop to learn new things. Good job.

Very lovely pendant with a lovely model to match!
Doc -
What is ZAM & where do you get it? Is it for polishing both stones & metal? Pebbles

Thank you, Doc. Considering that bail, just my thought. I plan to order some bails of different sizes from Kingsley North, but if you have some other internet source I would appreciate it. Thank you for the idea with three jump rings, I will try certainly. Pebbles, "ZAM is a mixture of chrome oxide, aluminum oxide, and a binder." But, yes, Doc, where do you find it? And, Doc thank you in the name of my "young and bright eyed wife". She is very happy because of compliments you all gave to her. I think this is good way for me, because she is always complaining that I am spending too much time with the rocks. And, she is not interested in cutting rocks, but who knows, maybe I will infect her. She is psychotherapist. I have problems with cracked stones, she have problems with "cracked" people. Just kidding, of course. Zotika
