This is where we cut stones, my business partner and good pal Lucky and me. Lucky is also planning to join to the RTH forum. So this is our humble workshop. Shelf with rough stones and stuff Grinder/polisher no 1 (modified broken bench grinder). Grinder/polisher (modified bench grinder) Tile saw Tile saw side view Lortone 8" trim saw It is hard to believe but we have one tidy workshop corner. Zotika

Looks good. You will find, your flex shaft will have to be moved closer to the front of the table. Any bends in the cable slows down the motor. There will also be angles that must be made with the cable as straight in line as possible. Looks good. An idea for the flex shaft, take a 1" wood dowel, make a simple hanging bracket to hang the motor and you are in business. Always use a foot pedal speed control.

Kim, If you mean on plexiglass top, I don't have it at all. Dan, I like this way of cooling the blade. I think it is more effecient when watar sprays directly on the blade, and splashing is reduced also. Before this modification I used to wear a rain coat when working with tile saw. With hood and goggles on. Hey Sands, you meant busy and messy. Ha. Zotika

Yes Sands, I am thinking the same. I especially like the mess I made when I get back from field trip, with lots of rocks. That is real mess, with rocks all around.

great photos, Zotika, i think it looks quite neat compared to the mess i make. Kim, i have the plexi-cover to my Lortone 6" trim saw, but use it to cover the motor instead of the work top..

Nice set up Zotika but what's with that shiney clean corner? *smile* That clean is like illegal in this circle of rockhounds.
Hey Kim, how can you keep the top on and push a rock through at the same time or is that some kind of auto-feed?

Nice setup Zot. I like the way you saved the dead grinder. Makes for a sturdy arbor.

Awsome workspace! Thanks for directing me here Jack! So Zotika how fast does the water run over your blade? And how did you regulate that speed?
Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff

Space- He has a stopcock on it- It makes it very easy to regulate water speed- I use em on my grinder- If stuff seem to be running hot- just open the valve- If I'm getting soaked from the splashes- Just close it up a bit! Love the idea forthe one on the saw- I hate those milky water marks that get on everything (especially on my safty glasses- as I scratch the heck outta them when I clean them off!)

Hey Spaceman, Stefan already answered your question. Thank you Stefan. You know this time difference make direct conversation a bit difficult. There is 6 hours difference between Belgrade (Serbia) and East Coast of USA and even 9 hours between Belgrade and West Coast. For example when in Belgrade are 16:00h in New York is 09:00 while in San Francisco is 06:00. Zotika
