Haha I do the same thing when I'm making cabs...I think I "should have" gotten a before pic! LOL It's the same way when I'm out hounding for Fairburn Agates. I always tell myself to get a picture of it "as I found it", before I pick it up...but in the excitement of finding it, I ALWAYS forget and grab the little treasure! LOL

Very nice! I love seeing how the patterns and colors transform after the rock has been smoothed and shined up!

Must be lots of silica replacement in that one. Looked too much like soft limestone when rough. Nice polish.

I am pretty sure its stromalite, although most have green. I find it occasionally on the shores of the Gitch. A very interesting stone. By others, one of the oldest fossils known to man, that's still being made in Australia.
