Been working on tumbling a bunch of leftover slabettes and cutoffs etc. Here's a couple pf pics: Poppy Jasper from New Almaden, Hornitos, Morgan Hill, and Indian Valley. Mixed agate: Most the banded stuff is from Texas and Chihuahua, Mexico. Moss is mainly Bull Canyon and Maury Mountain material.

Wow, that poppy jasper is absolutely amazing! You did a fantastic job on it. Nice agates too, that one in the bottom right almost looks like a piece of turitella.

The poppy jaspers are beautiful!! That stuff is on my wish list too, first I'll be paying for 10 more pounds of green zebra agates though. I want some of everything!!

Hey Mel. Nice job on those. I'm suprised the poppy jasper didn't have any problems being in with the agates. They all came out nice.

Those look great, Mel. Did you get the poppy from Ed? I have some of his Morgan Hill sitting next to the slab saw just waiting to take a ride. Seems like every time I head for the shop the phone rings with something else I have to do. That piece of agate with the crystal "window" looks like it would make a great triplet. I have some lace that I got from Kim that I want to find a small window and see if I can mount some quartz on either side of it. Again, great job Mel!!

Offbeat: I didn't get mine from Ed but his sure looks mighty fine. I found some of mine on a private ranch near Indian Valley and got some in trade many years ago. Most tends to be fractured due to being found in such a highly seismic region but it sure makes fine cabs when you can get a good piece!...mel

Kim: The ones I really like I put in my " pretty -lookin -at-rock box" *L* Most go to our gem show. We put a little bunch of tumbles in every grab bag. We had a grab bag stuffing party a few weeks ago and we went through 40 pounds of my stones filling 270 grab bags! Still have 130 bags to go next party before the show! My tiny stones I separate out and they go into the sand sifting game in the kiddies booth and then some of the nice stones get made into pendants for spinning wheel prizes in the same booth. Mainly I just tumble stones cause it's fun to look at them when they come out *S* My personal collection is all type specimen slabs, cabs and faced larger stones....mel
