Does anyone use PSE (Photoshop Elements) to convert negatives to positive photographs? I recently found about 20 envelopes of negatives of my family from the 1950’s to 1970’s. I tried, but could not get the colors correct. I can do the black and white ones OK. I scan at 1200 dpi. Then use the Invert filter in PSE. Here is an example of the best I could get one of the color negatives. They always have either a blue or red tint to them. Adjusting color curves did not help. The dress in this photo is dark red and the shirt is light blue. I am not worried about scratches/spots, as I can remove them. Any advice appreciated.

Gee, maybe my dad's old color photography printing equipment might be worth something after all!
