Just a type of rock gripper, handy for roundish and odd-shaped rocks. Usually fits on a vise that uses two threaded rods, like some Lortones.

Does anyone happen to have one laying around that they want to sell? I find that HP has grossly over priced them. Plus HP has pissed me off too many times.

$29.50 in Lortone's 2007 catalog.
$35.97 sixteen years later at HP. Whatever.
You could always make one out of a scrap piece of Kindorf/B-Line/Unistrut.

I would just make one out of angle, with a 3rd leg like mine, the 2 rows of teeth just invite it to tilt, and this version 2 has no teeth anyway, made no difference. Mine is almost always flipped like in the pic, the other side has a soft jaw from the same material Lortone uses. With the 3rd leg I can clamp a rock all the way out on the end as well, lifting the back leg provides leverage and clamps it in tight,
