Date: May 29. 2023
Weather: Sunny, few clouds, 80°F
Destination: Rißbach, Fischbach
This one was... special.
Finally it happened. By some happy twist of fate my GF of over two years was free, happy and motivated to join me on one of my adventures into the wild, untamed south... of Munich.
On the way we made a little stop at the Sylvensteinsee Damm to enjoy the scenery.
Then we where off to a litte parking spot along river Rißbach. From there we went upstream the wide, mostly dried up riverbed towards Fischbach.
Up came a challenge: Crossing two little, shallow streams.
Admittedly the water was really cold.
So... let's say the challenge was mastered in the end.
As soon as she heard the sound of the waterfall there was visible excitement in her eyes and when she spottet the caves and the "natural bathtub"... let's call it "happy dance".
It was simply a great time.
Finally back at he car we changed into dry cloths and shoes and made our way back.
Then... from my right I heard the magic words: "Ahm... hungry?"
Stopped at the next restaurant to get some tasty Roast venison and Pork knuckle and that made the day perfect.

I picked the stream Fischbach for our destination.
The weather was quite hot, so crossing one or two little streams would not be too bad and the small waterfall and the caves would provide a decent spot for shade,
relaxation and maybe even a litte bath.

Took some encouragement and I think I was hated for a few seconds but a towel and loving leg rubs can fix the mood quickly.
(One of the may qualities I love her for. She can be angry and then a few seconds later laugh full of joy.)
After that we turned right into Fischbach... which you don't recognize as a stream until you reach the caves and the little waterfall. As soon as she heard the sound of the waterfall there was visible excitement in her eyes and when she spottet the caves and the "natural bathtub"... let's call it "happy dance".
It was simply a great time.
The way back was a little adventure as we choose to climb up the hill on the right side of the cave to have a better look on the waterfall and the caves.
Once up, we decided to take a litte detour for the way back to enjoy more of this beautiful region.
Finally back at he car we changed into dry cloths and shoes and made our way back.

So... enough of that. I let the pictures speak. Enjoy.
