I had a booth out of sale yesterday right in my little town of Atwater. It was actually a car show in the downtown area with very few vendor booths. Great participation and turn out for the car show. All four blocks were completely filled up with several cars displayed on some of the sides streets. I sold half a dozen pendants which is better than I expected to do there. There's a pic of my booth. The new cab displays worked great. There was a small breeze and my old cardboard ones that I had some bolo ties on kept tipping over. I got to come up with something for the bolos! Also had the guy stopped by my booth that had purchased my dad's model T. Truck and model D. John Deere tractor a couple months back. It's really good to see someone have it that was enjoying it so much and so proud of it. He was dressed in. Clothing that was perfect for the truck. I should have got a picture of him. I went down to see the truck, guess I'm getting to be an old softy. For about 15 minutes. It was running good when he got it but he's already been completely through the engine and rebuilt the bed that he said was rotting. Use some metal from some of the old ones and redwood. I think it looks great!

Thanks jasoninsd. I'm definitely learning a bit about the shows. Much easier set up this time. I had some interest in the Buick and some folks that were going to pass on some info to friends. I did get feedback from a couple of people that it was a good price. That was good to know as I was guessing. Asking $7500 and I paid $250 so I have some wiggle room. The guy with the truck actually told me I could take it for a spin. I never learned to drive a T. Three pedals on the floor and none of them are the accelerator!

I would've...whether I knew how to or not!* Okay...I wouldn't have really...but I would have wanted to! LOL Fingers crossed on the Buick...

rockbrain Growing up we had a 1929 Model A in our garage that I played in often. We stored it for my Grandma. It ultimately was donated to raise money for a community event. I wish I could’ve appreciated it as an adult. Cool you got some sales at this event even though it was a car show. Maybe that’s a good strategy. Something different from the event. People are often looking for gifts or keepsakes and might not want something that shouts “car show”.

khara it's amazing how much more Model A's are worth than T's, but they're just more roadworthy. It's a bit of work taking a T very far. jasoninsd, I'll find a home for the Buick. Haven't even advertised it yet. It's the bottom of the line model wise but has some stuff going for it. 49,000 original miles. I have every piece of paperwork that came with the car. Even a tag that was hanging on the windshield wiper control that told how to work it. I had the original keys but foolishly carried them on my key ring and lost it. GM had the number on the keys to id them. It was never punched out and it was written on the original bill of sale. It was purchased new by an old lady in the next town. She drove it for a few years and died. Her grandson got it for a few months until reverse went out in the transmission (a common and simple problem with they turbohydroflush trannies. It was parked in a shed until I came upon it about 35 years ago!

Your booth looks terrific Gary.
All the work for the pendant displays was certainly worth it. Bonus you even sold stuff .
I don't think we're ever sold something and then re-met the people we sold it to and got to see what they were doing. That had to be a nice surprise . I never could figure out 3 on the tree shifting - forget the model T !
I'd be afraid I'd crash it for sure, in the parking lot !

Nice! Nice set up - great sales! Love that you got to revisit an old 'buddy' too! I love vintage cars - we have a car show on Wednesdays at the local Dairy Queen. Always fun to drive through and see the older vehicles.
