Anybody hounding this weekend? I'm hoping to. Curious who's going looking for rocks or the great wide open!

Not ready yet here in Missouri. Still too many things that can stick, sting, or bite you out in the wilds.

Should’ve hit me up. I had plans to go this Saturday, but my dad had to cancel. I’m on the trail of some loooong forgotten and not well known plume agate

realrockhound I wish I had! Next time I will. I found a very cool piece of a andesite (?) w green limbs in it. Though small it was gratifying!
Is you hunt for the jackhammer stuff you've been digging?

Is you hunt for the jackhammer stuff you've been digging? You got out to congelton? I know a few good areas back in there. I have a few new deposits of the jackhammer I discovered a few weeks back. But the spot I was talking about is a different mountain range. Way out in the sticks that no one’s walking to. Need an atv to get to it.

realrockhound yes. It had been a at least a year since I went that way. Got some good walking in... lol... but I've never come up a big winner there. Today's find is weird. Have ATV will travel, I'd love to have one... but it was good to get my legs back in action after sitting out for medical stuff. Can't wait to see your diggins. Side note: I also have a piece I got in the MMs last year that I'll share later. I'm not sure what it is and maybe u will. Take a look at today's piece...the end of the big piece is about nickel sized.

@ JR8675309 yeah post the MM. I know most the material out there.
One of these days we can organize a trip if you’d like to go collect some Maury moss, etc..

Scenery. There's a river down there. A ways down but worth the steep hike. So Fork of the Crooked River.

Rockyy my parents were members of the grange where the Southern WA rock club meets, my dads friend in the club was my first exposure to rockhounding and lapidary. Used to go to their show every year when it was in the Castle Rock Fairgrounds.
