First off, thank you for the auto-embed image plugin! That makes it much easier to share (at least for the Imgurians), and is greatly appreciated.
This is probably a bit off topic for the forum as it's in relation to Tapatalk which I realize you have no control over. But I'm hoping you might have some advice to share given your expertise and experience.
In the post linked above, I noticed it worked great when using both the desktop and mobile websites, either as a pasted URL or an embedded image. In Tapatalk, for the pasted URL it just shows up as a URL, which I would expect. So in an attempt to make it easier for Tapatalk users to view, I tried manually inserting IMG tags. However, I get the broken image thumbnail.
I have a couple different versions of the file I've tried to create. A 4K HEVC (h265) MP4, and a 720p h264 MP4 which I tried for compatibility's sake. The former might be a tall ask as it's a newer format, but the latter has been around for over a decade and I'd expect that to work no problem.
As an example I'll create four posts below; the first two with the links pasted, big then small, and the latter two with IMG embeds, big then small.

Looks like the 4K HEVC video was a mistake. My fans are going into overdrive! 720p looks nearly as good when limited to 50% width and has the bonus of being smooth.
Not sure there's a workaround for this - it appears my previously posted Imgur videos also do the same thing. Looks like this might be a Tapatalk limitation that I can't get around, but if you've got any advice Tommy I'm all ears! Thanks again.
I love that the auto-embed turns off autoplay, and still provide the link for Tapatalk users to click. I think that will be the way to go at least for now.

Hi iamchris this is probably not the help you were wishing for but I have no idea how to get around the incompatible video type. My only experience with tapatalk was a few years ago and was not a good one so I deleted it. Maybe try searching the webs - or poke around in the proboards embedding mod and see if the situation has been addressed?
I did a good amount of searching before creating this post and wasn't able to even find anyone reporting the same issue. Maybe it's a bug I should report to them once I get back from Alberta.
Thanks for checking out the question and for your response, Tommy!
