Hi - I recently purchased an old home with a bunch of lapidary equipment abandoned in the basement. I've cleaned it all up (for the most part) and everything seems to be working, though I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at as far as the purpose of each machine and how best to list either individual machines or the lot for sale. I've done tertiary ebay research but as someone with a niche hobby with a bunch of specialized equipment (vintage bicycles) I know that's not always the best source.
Any and all help appreciated, and while I'm here, fair offers entertained - although i do believe there is a sales sub I would re-post this to. Located in Indianapolis.
Thanks!

Looks like a lot of nice equipment. Starting with a Loretone slab saw, a cabbing machine, a vibrating flat lap, an arbor and a trim saw. It looks like the cabbing machine has rubber expanding drums on it. Not a good idea to run those without sanding belts installed on them. They can fly apart and cause damage and injury. Like most things, selling in a lot will get it over with all at once for lower dollar. Selling separately will get you more money but more work. You might want to post your location. Lots of members here all across the country (and the world) You might have someone close by that's interested.

Wow. You acquired a complete outfit. Slab saw, trim saw, vibe lap, cab machine with expando wheels, and a buff arbor. Just don't use the sic wheel on the other end for much rock work and especially dry or out of balance. Go slow, and maybe find a lapidary mentor and you will have fun. BTW my other passion is vintage but not necessarily expensive bikes ( biased towards touring bikes from 70s and 80s). Lots of good guidance here so ask questions.

Quick sale of all to a restorer/reseller will get you $1000 or so around here, all the way to as much as $3k sold individually if you're in no hurry.

That is some interesting old equipment. I might be interested in buying some of it. Can you connect with me @ indep448@gmail.com?

It looks like there is a Star 6" cabbing combo hiding behind the FranTom Stubby.
