Hope it's a good show for you. One day show? Don't see those very often.

Ill be there attempting not to spend too much money. Not sure if I will succeed though.
Originally I was planning to be there as a seller but after almost 3 months straight of working events and being out of town I decided I needed a break.
Hoping to find a few things there that are interesting!

Looks like it was a good show, the Ocho Geodes are especially nice. And the green stuff whose name evades me. Saw was maybe a 24? What was the price? Kinda looks like it was built from a saw kit from Ideal. Now I remember, Prehnite.

RockoonzThey didn’t have a price and didn’t see who’s it was, I think it was a 24. Biggest blade I have ever seen in person! I love those little oco geodes!

I was there and really trying to justify whether to buy that saw or not. It was a 36" blade on it.
The guy wanted $2200 for it. The body was made of wood and the inside was sprayed with truck bed liner. Honestly I thought that $2200 wasnt a terrible price. But there was a few spots on the wood that had a little bit of rot on them and I was hesitant to mess with it. He said it wasnt made to be transported since it was a little rickety and needed to be babied when moved.
I told myself I wasnt going to get it because I didnt bring my truck and only had a car there. Which is just fooling myself. I kinda want that saw lol. The other problem for me would be where to put it. It would have to sit outside. If I had the space right now I would probably have bought it.

skrapyard that is a parts saw IMO, the plywood boxes cannot easily be made totally rigid, which is what you need with a saw, especially one that size. They are also difficult to clean, since you don't want to scrape off the sealer coating and some petrified rock snot really has to be removed with a putty knife. I only bought one once, because the almost new looking blade was worth at least twice what I paid. The blade was totally dished and the rest of it sat in my cargo box storage for about 12 years and ended up tossed into a spare parts lot I sold to a local guy when we were getting rid of stuff to move.

Rockoonz I agree about it being a parts saw at this point. The whole thing just seemed too weak to me. The guy even said he had to drive slow getting there to keep it from damaging the saw. The blade looked to be in decent condition along with all of the important parts (clamp, motor, sled/carriage). I work at a fabrication shop, so I could easily build an entire new housing for it at a later time. Thats why I somewhat entertained the idea of picking it up. Overall its way too big of a project for me to want to currently take on. Not to mention the amount of oil that sucker would need in it. The way it sits it would need at least 30 gallons of oil unless you ran a strainer and pump system with a sprayer for the blade. Being in the midwest we hardly ever see saws this size for sale, so it was one of those scenarios that makes you wonder if youll see one again any time soon and if you should buy it just because its there.
