Hello my name is Ashley I am looking for some information I bought a cabing machine off a couple and I don't know what grit the wheels are and trying to figure them out.
I'm fairly new to this learning to try to cabbing but I've been rock hounding for years as in collecting rocks and minerals.
I am a single mom with 4 kids and a disabled roommate. One of my kids is also disabled and Since I'm not able to work due to having the kiddos and the roommate to take care of I do extreme couponing and make bundles for people in the neighborhood and in our community to help them save money while that being our form of income

Welcome Ashley, from NW Florida.
You probably want to post your cabbing machine questions on the Lapidary equipment sub forum But My 6 wheel cabber has 2 hard wheels on the left- 80 & 220,then 1 "soft" wheel on left that is 280 git Then on the right 3 soft wheels 600,1200,3000.
I believe that set up is standard- although of course with a used machine, the wheels might be changed out.
Most wheels also say on the side of them what grit they are.
Hope this helps,
Patty

Welcome Ashley.
Except for the two metal wheels, the soft wheels are color coded for grit.

Welcome from AZ. You say you don't work, but caregiving is about the hardest job out there. A lot of states will pay caregivers, even if caring for their own family, if you haven't you should look into it. As for your cabbing machine, there are plenty of us who would be happy to help you sort it out.
