I just got finished with using diamond pads the first time to polish some pet wood slices. They didn’t turn out as well as I expected. Am I supposed to put polish and buff them afterwards? Or should I go back through the process again and, if so, to what grit? Any info would be helpful.

You likely want to fill us in on what grits you've used & maybe show a photo of what it looks like now, so someone can help troubleshoot. Patty

I took a couple of more looks at the pet wood and what I see are some scratches and an inconsistent level of polish (some places took a good polish and others are dull. I think my problem is that I hurried things and, since this is my first time using the diamond pads, I hadn’t developed a “feel” for what I was doing yet. Some faces did turn out great and I’m going to repolish the ones that don’t meet my expectations…and take more time with them.
