I love light houses. We were on a whale watching boat trip somewhere off Washington State when I spotted this one. The photo was taken on my iPhone 12 a few years back and has not been touched up. What’s your favorite ‘non-rock’ photo?

I love lighthouses too! I dreamed of staying in a lighthouse for one or two nights, or better, purchasing a lighthouse one day...
How did you manage to get an iPhone 15 a few years back?

I also love lighthouses! I could see myself living in one and being a caretaker. It’d be fun to do a trip and visit a bunch. That’s a good idea. 🤔 I have a lighthouse picture in my bedroom and a gorgeous hand painted oil painting of realistic stormy ocean waves. Combined, they kind of set the theme for our room. I’ve always wanted to get a nicer lighthouse pic as the one was just a cheap early life purchase. Not sure myself of a favorite pic that I’ve taken. I’d have to think on that a bit. My cat always makes me smile. I like to take pictures of our projects, anything at all that we make. But for landscapes, that’d have to be pretty special. Somewhere with water and mountains and trees, maybe a beach. I’ll need to go find the place.

It’s an iPhone 12 actually…I think. I still have it. I hate upgrading phones once I get used to one. I just changed it in my post. I don’t know much about these things. My wife gets it and I use it lol. I agree! Staying, or even living in a lighthouse would be amazing.

I have never seen a kid as crazy about cats as this one.

Velo, the world can always use another animal lover. I hope your daughter has many sweet animal friendships in her lifetime.💛 This is sweet little Kiki.🥰

kharaThanks!! Your kitty cat is adorable and Belle fawned all over the picture lol. We are all animal lovers. Critters in general are amazing. We would get a kitten, except Bosco would eat it. He’s a small animal hunting breed and the instincts run too deep. He’s killed squirrels, rats and even skunks, which really sucked. We’ve had to be real careful with our new neighborhood’s cats, who aren’t used to him. That would be awful. The only small critters he likes are little dogs. So eventually we’ll get one of those.

One of my favorite photos (among many) This image of a painted bunting was taken at Llano River Texas State Park. It was the first painted bunting I had even seen outside of a Bird Guide.

That is beautiful! I’ve lived in Texas much of my life and I have never seen one in person. Very nice photo catch there.

Very nice photo catch there. Thanks ... if you get the opportunity to go there, Llano is one of the best bird watching locations with biking and hiking trails as well as birding. There are some very endangered warblers there that people come especially to see.

Absolutely beautiful area, and we did see lots of wildlife. Of course, my attention was mostly absorbed by the very loud nine-year-old bit of wildlife we’d brought with us…

Your step daughter is super adorable! Thank you! She’s a handful. We’re in our early 50s and good grief she’s very hard to keep up with. It was so much easier with my son I had at age 23 lol. I love it though, very much.

I took these a couple years back and am still impressed with the innovation.
