Lapis lazuli has become my favorite Stone and I have a few favorite pieces that I really enjoy because of how the pyrite and calcite play with the Deep blue of the lap piece. Overtime from regular handling the calcite has become tarnished and has lost its White. I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations on how to restore it to its natural color. At the point of time that I had begun collecting lapis, I was unaware of how easily the white calcite absorbs oils and fades in color. Lesson has been well learned.

Welcome from Virginia.
What kind of cleaning have you tried? It just sounds like it is dirty from soaking up the atmosphere so long. Maybe Mean Green or something like that to soak in?
