Hello all from Upper Michigan! I have found so much joy in this rock hobby we got into in 2016, have accumulated a nice selection of equipment over the years so our garage has turned into a nice workshop. While most of my joy has come from the various processes of creating beautiful stones - beach combing, metal detecting, slabbing, cabbing, tumbling etc, I am now realizing I probably need to sell some of my creations. I work full time so wondering if anyone has suggestions for selling that I can fit into my busy schedule! I have some beautiful tumbled beach stones of various sizes, just not sure where to market those - what kinds of things do people make with tumbled stones other than jewelry? I just get lost looking at them, they are so beautiful! Thank you for reading 😊

Welcome from Missouri, formerly from Petoskey, Michigan. Below is a link to a recent discussion about online businesses if that is the way you want to go. I think a lot of people on the forum sell at smaller local rock shows. Another option may be local craft shows. Not sure if you are in the UP or in north part of LP, but there are a lot of craft shows in the northern part of the LP, especially before Christmas. With more people staying longer in their vacation homes, these shows seem to have a lot more people (with money) than they used to. I went to one on Black Friday and among the vendors that had rocks, "rock art" seemed to be a hot item (not sure if they were selling or not). Most of these (people fishing, birds, turtles, etc) were made from unpolished beach stones. I kept wondering if they would look better if they were made from polished rocks. I saw some made with polished Petoskey stones but not much else that was polished. Just a thought. Post some pics of your creations when you get going. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/104114/advice-on-starting-online-storeChris
