I've been looking for a piece of IPR like that one for a long time! I was hoping to get a chunk of rough...but could never snag any of the ones I saw. So, I settled for the thick slab...and I'm dyin' to get at that one!

Can't wait to see how the inspiration mines pieces turn out. Thanks my friend! You and me both on those! I get "nervous" any time I'm working any copper material. It's such a crapshoot for me when I'm working them...I'm pretty sure the scales have balanced to the "fail" side versus the "success" side for all of them I've worked! LOL

Sweet! The Inspiration Mine material and the IPR are really primo. Thank you Robin! My only days to cut are Wednesdays and Sundays. I'm looking at the weather forecast and cringing. Neither of them coming up are looking like "good" cutting days. However, if the wind stays down, I'll cut in 30 degree temps. We had a nasty blizzard Monday night and Tuesday...three foot plus drifts...so it kinda took yesterday out of the mix due to "clean up". Dangit! Thanks Pat! I seriously can't wait to get these "under the knife"! LOL Thanks my friend! You and me both on those! I get "nervous" any time I'm working any copper material. Very neat material. I love the ocean jasper, so orbie, and the wave dolomite too. I think I have a small chunk of that. Thanks for sharing.

"All I want for Christmas is 2 big rocks..."
Someone throws 2 rocks at his window.
Jokes on them...we love rocks

Some sweet slabs of some very desirable material! I know you'll make the most of them and will be waiting to see some results.

I had gotten some dyed Brazilians in a trade one time (I was told they where dyed so I knew what I was getting). Drilled them and made wind chimes for my wife's grandma. She loved them so much they moved into hospice care with her, and even when her demtia was at it's worse she would still comment on how pretty they were and what a lovely sound they made in the breeze. After she passed they were returned to me. Despite the color (a greenish blue) I still have them hanging in my family room and won't pert with them, as they had touched her life in a way that I will never understand.

Nice score! I'm a fan of buying myself presents 🎁 😅 Thanks Ali! I figure I'm the only one who doesn't have me on a naughty list...so I "treated" myself. LOL Merry Christmas to you! Very nice. Thanks Dave! I really was surprised I didn't get a Rock Shed gift certificate from at least one person in the family! LOL "All I want for Christmas is 2 big rocks..." Someone throws 2 rocks at his window. Jokes on them...we love rocks No kidding, right!! LOL That Indonesian Petrified Palm Root is stunning! Thanks PS! I just realized those two close-ups are the same pic...just turned 90 degrees! LOL (Oops!) Some sweet slabs of some very desirable material! I know you'll make the most of them and will be waiting to see some results. Thank you my friend! I keep pulling up the forecast every couple hours to see if anything's changed for Sunday's weather yet! LOL I had gotten some dyed Brazilians in a trade one time (I was told they where dyed so I knew what I was getting). Drilled them and made wind chimes for my wife's grandma. She loved them so much they moved into hospice care with her, and even when her demtia was at it's worse she would still comment on how pretty they were and what a lovely sound they made in the breeze. Despite the color (a greenish blue) I still have them hanging in my family room and won't pert with them, as they had touched her life in a way that I will never understand. Thanks for sharing that Stefan! I think my wife would like "our" slabs to be turned into sun catchers...as opposed to cabochons!* *Okay...I know she would like that...as she told me that pretty clearly! LOL I think I'll use some glue on nails and maybe some fishing swivels and hang them in the kitchen window!
