They look shinny to me. I agree about the all one type of rock. Tried doing that recently and it is more interesting and maybe easier to see how they progress. Thanks for posting.

nursetumbler - Kelly, those rocks in the first pics are Sci-Fi Jasper (aka Exotica). Some will polish...others won't. It's not you...it's the material.

nursetumbler - Kelly, those rocks in the first pics are Sci-Fi Jasper (aka Exotica). Some will polish...others won't. It's not you...it's the material. Jason Is all of the first picture exotica? There is black and white patterned and some with color?

There is black and white patterned and some with color? Yep...all of those are. In the pieces I worked, the "ivory" color seemed to take a wicked polish. The purple areas, not so much...

Yeah the Exotica/Sci-fi Jaspers tend to undercut at the healed fractures when tumbling, which troubles me more than the level of polish.
