This one barely qualifies, but its got the tiniest of cavities. I got this a while back during the hammer breaking geode stage. And for nothing this thing would break. it actually began to dent the concrete. So I set it aside. Over a year later, I found it and cut it and gave it a polish. It was weird one and filled in, but its got a tiny cavity. Whats your impression? Also I am a dingus. I polished it by hand using sand paper (60, 80, 150, 220, 320, 400, 600, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500) and I think that may have been some tiny grit which contaminated my workspace and caused scratches in that final stage.

It sure is beautiful. I like how you can 'see' into the rock! I guess since it technically has a void you can call it a geode?

I think the inside is spectacular! I guess the tiny void explains why you started to dent the concrete when you originally tried to break it.

Thank you! Is this an agate? I am not sure if this qualify.
The surface was so stubborn, I used up a sheet of 60 grit

Thank you! Is this an agate? I am not sure if this qualify. The surface was so stubborn, I used up a sheet of 60 grit I believe the term agate is acceptable for the inside of many geodes, especially ones that are fully or mostly fully filled. I found this article where they are using the term agate. And, I’m impressed you hand sanded and polished this! geology.com/articles/geodes/

It's translucent and has fortification lines. I'd call it an agate.

It's more grayish, but I am surprised by it. I have another I always said I would repolish. Can I start over on a polish to remove deep grooves?
This is for another, not this one
I love the variety packs becuase you have no idea what you will get, and you might discover something wonderful
