I mounted mine on a steel rack then mounted that on a hydraulic lift so I can easily raise or lower it depending the size of the stone, etc.

A man with a new toy is a joyful thing to behold. I'd like to see more photos of it in action and an explanation of what you learn from it after a few cores are made. Do you have plenty of rock to core?

That's a very nice setup, Mark K. I did notice the whole thing is quite narrow. Maybe make some sort of fold down legs to come out sideways and stabilize it when the large rocks get rolled up on it.

HP Lapidary has had a lot of demos for sphere making. I have to buy all my rough and beside the cost of the equipment the rough for spheres would be expensive so I am sticking to making cabs. Someone who has a lot of rough can convert it to cash faster than cutting cabs.
