I have this mini geode and i am not sure if it's clear quartz or something else in here. I was hoping that structure in the lower side is a small diamond because it has so many facets but it is what it is, thanks for the help

daniel4321 I know your are joking/hopeful but quartz is in the hexagonal crystal and diamond is in the isometric crystal system so the crystal shape is wrong for diamond. Though if you are a big fan of carbon, graphite is in the hexagonal system.

I can see two different structures, the small quartz is hexagonal clearly; I can't figure out the other one, it confuses me because i see facets going up and sideways on and on not sure how i would start and stop the count if that makes sense I actually took a zoomed pic of the bigger structure, maybe i could count the facets but I'm just saying it looks weird to me (but again I am a beginner in this) imgur.com/o7TejYcHere how it looks under light being moved: imgur.com/ug6Qa9j

daniel4321 yes when you get that many crystals that close together the individual crystals run into each other and change the appearance of the crystal faces making it hard to see. Just takes practice.
