Hi,
I am going on a field trip with the rock club tomorrow and am so excited.
We are going to place called McGilvery Lake, have no idea where it is, or what we are looking for, but I am STILL EXCITED!
Am meeting them at 9am, and yup taking my camera so I can brag!

Woohooo Bunny! That sounds like so much fun. I'm trying to plan something for tomorrow too. I found out there's a rock show up on the north shore of Lake Superior. I want to go but can't find anyone to go with me. I'll go alone if I have to, it's just more fun to share the experience. Hey Cher, Where are you located? In Canada? The southern Lake Superior shore is my favorite place in the US (just outside of Grand Marais, MI) - check it out if you ever can get there! The rocky shores are spectacular! I just put a batch of rocks in one of my tumblers last night that I collected when I was there in July. They're so smooth from the lake & sand that you can basically skip a few stages of grit. I'm anxious to see how they turn out. They're gorgeous in the water -then when I get home, I wonder why I picked them up! Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, I'm in Minnesota, about 100 miles from the north shore, but that depends on where I want to go. LOL The show I'm going to tomorrow is in Two Harbors, it's called the Agate City Show. I'll take my dc along and see if I can get some pics. [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow] pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/signs/RockOn.gif [/img]

Bunny, That's what's fun about stompin in the river. The water has done alot of the work for you and you can see the potential of them so much better. Bring a spray bottle of water to really bring out the beauty of the stones.
