Why do tumblers in the garage outperform tumblers placed anywhere else around the home?? WHY??? This is a question that may go unanswered forever..I think it is because tumblers are akin to automobiles and feel more secure in a "garage" than isolated in a "basement" or "outbuilding".. Yet again, maybe a garage is more nurturing...The placement of the tumbler is a consideration more overlooked..It's not the "noise" or the "size" that should be important in the placement--Let's be more sensitve to the needs of our tumblers-They will be with us for years to come--LOVE A TUMBLER ;D

Mine are in the basement and very happy about it for several reasons. 1. If they were in the garage, they could only tumble maybe half of the year. The rest of the time, they'd be freezing their pulleys off. 2. I visit them more often in the basement. 3. They are gloating because they took over my wood-working table. 4. They are gloating even more because all the saws, drills, router etc are stuffed away and everything is covered with rocks. Cher-- Tumblers need love too.....A basement tumbler often feels neglected-will grow up to be a "problem" tumbler...Remember the early development of your relationship with your tumbler is the most important of it's life.....The garage tumbler feels secure and loved always..Garage tumblers cause future problems 48% less than the "basement" tumbler..Often "basement" tumblers develope "belt" and/or "motor" problesm during the 2/3 year of their development... Be careful--compassionate.......

I have a single barrel and a double barrel tumbler which I first put in my kitchen. They were later moved to the deck which is covered. They enjoy watching the wildlife in the yard (country boy here) and are protected from the weather. I realy think they both run much quieter now....and I can look out the door to check on them now and then. Happy tumbling..

LOL Birdseed, you just don't get it. At my house, things I really care about go in the basement. If I could, I'd have my car in the basement too. The garage is a cold dirty place with wild critters crawling around (chipmunks and mice) and buckets of junk all over.
Cher ... who loves her tumblers enough to keep them in the house.
