Looks like a glass snake (in the lizard family, actually a lizard without legs, thus "snake")....great pics!!

Zotika-
Excellent photos, I love to see the "other" things associated w/ a good hounding trip. If you found great rocks then that's just the bonus. Nice turtles too.
Can't wait to see the rocks you found.

great photos, Zotika, love the turtle and the mountains/rainbow. ok, the snake pic kinda creep me out because they aren't "pet" snakes and know you found them "under a rock"......puts me (northern girl) off from real rockhounding.
but thanks for posting, love to see other corners of the world, better than a postcard!!!

Wow great photos and beautiful country. My wife loved the tortise pic. She's a real bird and reptile lover. Randy's correct, that is a legless lizard not a snake. Rare sight here in the US as most our species are pretty subterranean....mel

Thank you guys. I am not snake nor lizard connoisseur - excuse my ignorance. Thank you for explanation. There were also so many small gray real lizards I didn't bother taking photos of them because they are to common and they are too fast (they have legs). ;D

Hey Zotika , thanks for those nice nature pics. I like snakes, but will never ever find one here as New Zealand has no snakes whatsoever. But it does look like a lizard type to me too.
