Hi JK, As I understand it the name came about when a wagon train got stranded there and all of the people died.Their bodies are burried there. Hence the name "Graveyard Point". The agate was found later and was named after that particular area. Tom

hey Noosh, that looks like it gonna be a long hard grind there, buddy, lots of time in coarse to get those bad boys to shape up.
JK, nice score on the Graveyard Plume, i think that helped me identify some of what i've got. (see the last pic in "beads and stones"....)

Yes It dose take about 4 weeks in the coarse. I got some of those rocks about one year ago. Thay come out great!!!! I payed about $25.00 last time. Well I will try to post pics but I need to get some web space to post them.

have you tried photobucket, Noosh? that is what a lot of us use in here...mainly easy once you get the hang of it......cut and paste the images once you upload them. try this: photobucket.com/and sign on to register....works for me! KD

Looks like ya'll both got some nice rocks there!
I love the agates. So many different kinds and so many colors. I have a 5 gal bucketful that I am getting cut little by litte.
