I got the tube banded onyx form NMonyx from this board, but I bought it on e-bay. It is so beautiful to look at...evey seperate piece I look at..I try to see the different pictures in it. I seriously reminds me of a piece of colored Agate with the lines in it. Steve

Tammy, (rockinmom) The rock that my slabs are sitting on is called"the purple rock" LOL..it is a type of quartz/limestone(?) that we have not been able to lable yet. we got it at a pet store here in oklahoma, it is real pretty stuff though, but does not polish very well...too soft. The only place Betty and I do not really agree on, is the fact that she likes the rocks in thier natural state...I like mine polished...so we usually buy two pieces of each type, one for the collection and one for me to play with..LOL Steve
