Anybody got a suggestion as to how to open a Thumblers without ruining the lid seal??I have had to use a screw driver to pry the lid off my model B --I am afraid that I will soon have to replace the lid seal--Seems like there must be a better way to remove the lid???

Hi Birdy, I had a sticky lid myself a few days ago , but by persistently applying pressure with all my digits I managed to get the lid off OK.
I was wondering if it would be possible to install a stick of dynamite before closing the tumbler and when ready all one has to do is light the fuse.
Stand well back and ask for advice of the Mt St Helens guardians as to what safety wear should be worn just in case the contents spill or get ejected all over.
I believe they have had some experience over there.
Good luck
Jack

Maybe tumbling jasper(gas bombs) would do the trick..I will need to order many lid seals as replacements----What a P-A-I-N....

Hi Bird,
I had the same problem with the cover sticking. I sprayed the cover and the side of the gasket that mates with it with silicone and the cover comes right off with no effort at all.
Make SURE you don't get any spray on the "sealing side" of the gasket or it will leak!!
